Our Recent Buying Trip To Paris

Other than Cornwall, Paris has to be one of our favourite places to visit, so we’re always excited when that time of year rolls around again, and it’s time for a buying trip to this fabulous city.

Fuelled by coffee we flew from Exeter to Charles deGaulle and went straight to our lovely hotel, Adele & Jules. After more coffee and the obligatory croissant, we went to ‘Who’s Next’. There was a huge selection of beautiful brands from all over the world. We were spoiled for choice but managed to pick out our favourite brands for Autumn/Winter, including new brand ‘Des Petit Hauts’, which we’ll be introducing in store imminently. That night we ate pizza as we wandered the streets, taking in the atmosphere and admiring the beautiful architecture, before heading back to rest our legs for the day ahead.

It was off to Maison Objet for our Winter Interiors, which of course included Christmas! This seasons trends included richly coloured velvets, natural tones and traditional materials. Of course there’s always some Christmas sparkle, which we’ll be adding in the coming months. After walking what felt like miles of the exhibition floor, we headed over to the iconic Sacre Couer. What better way to see this beautiful city in it’s entirety, whilst wandering the streets packed with artists and street performers. We couldn’t leave without a close up look at Le Tour Eiffel lit up in all it’s glory, and a ride on a beautiful vintage carousel.

One more night at our hotel before a quick lunch at the Hoxton Hotel, before heading back to Exeter, then home. We are filled with inspiration and ideas, and can’t wait to share our new finds with you. We look forward to welcoming you in store so we can show you!
