Widely known as 'straw baskets', our shopping baskets are in fact woven using locally sourced natural palm leaf. Moroccan basket bags are weaved by hand using time-honoured techniques and from sustainably gathered materials. Our functional palm leaf basket bag are handwoven in rural villages in the north of Morocco and the region around Marrakech. The plant fibres are first pleated into long strips which are then stitched in rounds to form the shape of the basket.
