Your Year Ahead

Whilst we’re not a fan of setting ourselves up to fail with unrealistic goals, we do believe in harnessing the positive energy that the start of a new year can bring. It can be a fantastic time to reflect on the positive things that happened in the previous year, and learn from things which maybe didn’t go quite your way. But let’s stay positive. Hold on to the excitement of starting something new, and think about what you want to happen for you in the coming months. Want to travel more? Eat cleaner? Beautify your home? Get rid of the things that make you unhappy? We say - GO FOR IT! We are firm believers in setting out what you want to happen, whether in your mind, or written down. The clearer you are on what you’re asking for, the more likely you are to achieve it.

Here are some of the books which have been providing us with inspiration…

This book is packed with tips on where to go, how to look like you belong there, and what to do whilst you’re there. It has some great guides on where the locals shop, eat and hang out, perfect for those after a more authentic travel experience.

This book is a great little guide to making gradual changes in your daily life, to help us all slow down a little, and reap the benefits of doing so. It explains the theory behind slowing down, and how it can help every aspect of life, from relationships and family, to health and wellbeing.

Whether you’re wanting to go all out vegan, or simply dabble with a more plant based diet, this book has everything you need. Fast food, slow food, party food, quick suppers - it’s all here. There’s even a pull out menu planner for a week of vegan heaven.

As well as showcasing some rather stunning homes, this book also uncovers what goes into the making of them. It focuses on the values and ideas behind the place we all spend most of our time, and points you in a direction, rather than telling you what to do to create your own ‘perfect’ home.

Here are some of our hopes and wishes for 2020.
