How To Dress Your Table This Festive Season

One of my favourite things about this time of year is getting your favourite people together for a bit of festive cheer. Good friends, good food, something sparkly to drink, and of course, the perfectly dressed table are all essential when it comes to hosting. 

This year at Jo & Co, we’re keeping our colour palette on the neutral side, with beautiful mossy greens, and a touch of gold sparkle. Well, it is Christmas!

Here are our tips for dressing the perfect table this festive season:

Whether you’re keeping it simple with one or two colours, or going all out with 3 or more, try to visualise it first. If you have items already, get them out and place them together to see how they look. 

This year we’re keeping our colour palette simple, with mossy greens and gold.


This will depend on whether you’re preparing your table for a fine dining style, multi-course dinner, or more casual drinks and nibbles. It may sound simple, but think about all of the items you will need. Eg. Glassware, Cutlery, Salt & Pepper.

Okay, now for the fun bit, adding your personal touch. This is where you can get really creative, with napkins, place mats, place names, decorations, foliage, candles and holders.

Above all, remember it’s about everyone being together and having a good time, so do your best to keep your stress levels down, and enjoy yourself! We know we will. Enjoy!
